Very disappointed by the bride. Not only was it $6 more a pound compared to the other most expensive BBQ joint, it was very dry and the fat was not well made. The fat was as hard and dry as the brisket. Brisket was not seasoned well either. I don't mind paying the best dollar for quality, but this brisket was the worst thing I had.
We got ours to-go and were not disappointed! Really good BBQ. I don?t know what other reviewers are talking about because the second I got out my car, the wonderful odor of smoky BBQ wafted in the air. Black eyed peas are- delicious. Cherry cobbler- delicious. Wife and boys were happy. We?d be regular customers.
I visited this establishment yesterday (June 9, 2022) Finding a good BBQ place in Corpus is very hard to find, Miller 's 'smoked meats ' taste great, has the red ring look to it, but right when you walk in, there is no smell of their smoker.. They say on their story on website that they use Mesquite and Hickory..is this solid wood or tiny wood chips, (not sure) In other typical barbecue restaurants outside of Corpus Tex Mex bbq places, places like Houston area, DFW area, they take pride in using real Mesquite or hickory wood...and you can it down the street, it draws you in, your mouth waters. At Miller 's bbq restaurant you can 't, not even inside the restaurant, little less smell any wood smelling of smoking meats. They do have good food, however, the meat carver needs to learn how to slice certain meats...(it 's called sliced brisket for a reason).. and the young man who cut the meats that day was doing brisket chunks. They have their own way of doing things, but like many Tex Mex bbq places in Corpus, they slice up the marble of the brisket, (the fatty part) Guess that 's what the people want, then again had real barbecue like in Houston or Alvin Texas, they would then know the real difference of wood smoked meats versus places that you have no smell of any wood being used.
I really enjoyed the ribs. The chicken was a bit dry, though. I found the prices to be somewhat high, but they're likely comparable to other barbecue places.
