We had cupcakes and mini cheesecakes for our wedding from Let them eat cake. They turned out phenomenal and everyone absolutely loved them!

We ordered a 10-inch strawberry cake with chocolate icing for $65, and it was a disappointment. It tasted like a boxed cake mix from Duncan Hines with old Pillsbury frosting. I probably should have suspected it wouldn’t be great when a man in a tube top casually mentioned he didn’t eat cake. The cake was not only of very poor quality but also extremely overpriced. Our phone conversation with them wasn’t pleasant either; I felt like I was being unreasonable for simply placing an order. Honestly, I regret ordering from them in the first place. My child could have baked a better-tasting cake, and with far less attitude.

I always make an effort to support small businesses, but I was very disappointed when I ordered a custom cake for my daughter’s birthday. The cake was overpriced given the quality, especially when I compared it to another local bakery. It was dry, and the edible paper decorations looked cheap. I ended up throwing it away and went to HEB, where I found a much more attractive and delicious cake for a third of the price. It's clear not everyone takes pride in their work. I’ll be sharing this review on Yelp and Google in hopes that it helps someone else avoid the same disappointment we faced.
