Catfish Charlie's - Corpus Christi

I really enjoy this restaurant! They serve amazing, fresh shrimp, and the fried catfish is excellent as well. The complimentary hush puppies are tasty too. This is definitely a place you should check out. I ordered the mitad y mitad plate, which is quite good, featuring half fried catfish and half shrimp.

The food is amazing! If you're not up for a large chicken fried steak, check out the smaller portion options. The shrimp are delectable, and the red beans are full of flavor. The service is outstanding as well. It's all about the delicious food!

Hushpuppies are served here like bread is at other places, and they are absolutely delicious. They have a slight kick to them, likely due to the pieces of jalapeño mixed in. The fish and shrimp were excellent, and both the tartar sauce and the red sauce were incredibly tasty. The staff was also very friendly. Additionally, the tools they use for cooking are top-notch.

We had a pleasant experience during our visit. Although we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table, it was worth it. The food was great! We particularly enjoyed the appetizer of bacon-wrapped oysters. The fish was absolutely delicious, and the sweet tea was just right—not too sweet at all. We really loved everything and will definitely return.
