Silver Strand State Beach - Coronado

Please note that there are no showers in the restrooms, and they close at night (we checked around 8:30 pm). They do offer power and water hookups, but there are no waste hookups available. You’ll need to drive your RV to the front to dispose of waste for a $10 fee each time. The parking spots for campsites are just a few steps from the beach, allowing you to fall asleep to the soothing sound of the waves. There’s also a smaller beach at the opposite end, accessible via a pedestrian walkway, which has calmer waters. The entrance to the parking lot closes at 9:00 pm, so no one can enter or exit after that time, and quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am. For those visiting the beach without camping, there are three large parking lots available, but there is a parking fee. During our visit, we noticed a lot of stingrays in the water, particularly in the shallow areas, so just be cautious to avoid stepping on one!

This is one of my favorite beaches. While there is a fee for parking, it's reasonable, especially for those who dislike walking on sand or who have mobility challenges. The distance to the water isn’t far at all. I had a great time enjoying breakfast by the beach.

The beach is stunning, with soft sands and a pleasant atmosphere on August 1, 2004. The water was warm, and I was able to find several seashells and sand dollars. The facilities were great, featuring clean restrooms and outdoor showers, along with plenty of parking available. For just $12, you can get a day pass to park at this lovely state park, located just a few miles south of the beautiful Hotel Del Coronado. I highly recommend visiting if you're seeking a serene and picturesque beach experience!

Great location. Close to the ocean. Very dog friendly. Electric and water hook ups. Has a dump station but a pump truck also comes through daily and will pump for $20. Great walking and biking trails.

Silver Strand State Beach is a fun place to camp and enjoy the beach. The beach is beautiful sand that is kept clean. A perfect place for families to enjoy the beach. Unfortunately the water was closed due to contamination. There was no smell, however we took no chances and stayed away from the water. There were people out surfing and fishing.
