Saiko Sushi - Coronado

Incredibly fresh and delicious sushi! My gf raved about this place and after dining here, I concur! We stopped by for lunch on a Wednesday and were able to snag a table outside to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. They open at 11:30 and by 12:00 all outdoor tables were taken. We started with arnold palmers that were a little bitter, but the fresh cucumber water definitely made up for the lackluster taste. For apps, we had the Saiko edamame that was extremely delicious! If you like spice and fried garlic, you will be obsessed. We also had the karaage steamed bun that was delish, but I was disappointed that the karaage was only available in a bun as it is normally sold as it without the bun. Only one comes per order so for the amount of food we ordered, splitting one was perfect. Our mains consisted of the crown and ace roll. Both were fab, but the crown roll was the definite winner. The next time I visit, nigiri/sashimi are in my future. I ordered the blood orange chicken to go and OMG, I am not a huge fan of orange chicken to begin with, but if they all tasted like Saiko's, I would be in heaven. Jennifer R. was our waitress and she was very sweet. Thank you for recommending the ace roll as well as the blood orange chicken!

Accidently showed up for their happy hour and couldn't have been happier about that after the expensive weekend in San Diego. Amazing rolls, quick efficient service, and the S'mores cheesecake dessert was to die for! Wish we didn't live in Alaska when you find such an amazing place like this!!

Food always great. Very flavorful. Bartender gal was awful and didn't give 2 s#its about her bar customers. We weren't the only ones dissatisfied. She didn't confirm our order and made numerous mistakes and even when we asked for the check multiple times she said that we had to wait because she had to change the beer keg . This was 10 minutes before they closed

Excellent sushi, apps, and drink choices. Kid friendly and reasonable prices.

The rolls are on the sweeter side, not my personal favorite so I can't give super high stars for that reason service was awesome, friendly and fast
