Bidrage med feedbackMother's day. They opened a little early for us and another family that appeared shortly before the opening time. Shogun is a Teppan steakhouse with the whole show usually found in this kind of restaurant. They add lights and sound effects to the show, but they add some cheese. The traditional onion volcano will then turn off the upper headlight, turn on a strobe and a pullpipe. The service was fast and attentive – water glasses were kept full and the server was always ready with the next thing. I had a drink called The Castle with rum, brandy, peach schnapps, grenade, pineapple juice sweet and sour mixed until it is the color of the Japanese sunrise. It was served in a white pagoda glass that I had to hold.
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary just thought the show would be fun even if the food wasn 't great. What a wonderful surprise! The waitress was pleasant and the chef was talented friendly. I ordered Ikkyu so I could taste several entrées they were all delicious. My husband ordered the fillet Mignon which was also excellent. We can 't wait to go back again!
This is a neat little spot on the Corona Riverside border just off McKinley and the 91 Fwy. The sushi menu isn't real large but has a decent amount of offerings. The sushi bar is very friendly and the chefs will invent nearly anything you request. The main dining room is a bit sterile, but the Teppan tables are a must do for a big group. The overall value is very good, probably 30% less then the average sushi spot and very fresh. Give it a shot, a couple can easily get out for $50.00.
Lunch time is busy but you get served food at a decent time. Food is tasty and the sushi chefs are enthusiastic and friendly. Don't forget to have a sake bomb with your sashimi!
