The staff at this restaurant were friendly, the food was plentiful and of good quality, and the dessert was great. I deducted one star for a slow initial drinks order, but the service improved once we were served. In an update from March 2024, there was one very busy server but the food remained excellent, the staff was very friendly, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable visit.

I loved the cozy atmosphere of this restaurant. The food was excellent with generous portions. I had the whitebait starter and Thai fishcakes for my main course, both of which were delicious.

This time I only popped in for a drink after work. However, a couple of weeks before we popped in for dinner. Although the beers are good I am afraid the very young staff were doing their jobs and no more. The family next to us had food missing were not happy. Having been here previously always had fantastic food this visit was really disappointing. The place was closed by 9!!! Would appear the change of hands has not been a good thing for the food here.

Nice place, polite staff, nice food (the chips let it down, tasted like old oil) It was lovely that the dogs were welcome. I would recommend.

Took the wife's grandson there because he wanted a steak, so did I. We had starters, main and pud plus some good ale, all for £35 a head. Good sized portions and really tasty, great service from friendly staff.
