The Waterwheel

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay here for 2 nights.The room was lovely..I asked for a room with a bath,which we had,everyone was really nice,we had a meal on our last night,again very nice,as was breakfast.

Tempting evening meal menu made it difficult to chose but we opted for the pork which was amazing and highly recommended!

We had a lovely couple of days at Waterwheel. Three generations of our family plus the dog were made to feel very welcome. Beautiful garden, great food, comfortable bedrooms.

What a lovely relaxed meal we had here. From the moment we arrived it had a cosy family feel, and were even greeted by a black Labrador which me and my boyfriend loved as we’re a big fan… was nice to see that the restaurant is dog friendly. The dining area was nice and spacious and we were able to choose wherever we wanted to sit which I thought was good. I liked the vinyl placemats, never seen this before! My boyfriend chose the mixed grill, which was a pretty huge portion but he polished off the lot, each piece of meat cooked to perfection, accompanied with crispy chips and onion rings. I went for the lasagne which you could tell was homemade with a lovely refreshing salad and delicious garlic bread on the side. We wish we had room for puddings as they also sounded yummy… next time! The waitress who served us was really friendly and chatty and made you feel at home : Can’t wait to return here for another lovely meal.

I went to this restaurant for dinner on Valentine's Day evening. The food was incredibly tasty. We ordered lamb rump and duck, both of which were delicious. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the broccoli was especially tasty. The dishes were presented beautifully. The waitress who served us was very nice and friendly. I also tried my husband's raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake, which was amazing. I regretted not ordering one for myself!
