The New Inn - Cornwall,Isles of Scilly

We were staying locally and had booked ahead for dinner. We had a lovely meal cooked and presented well, had to wait a fair time for it but worth it. Then we thought we would just walk in another evening but hadn’t booked the person on the bar said we would have a wait of about 3/4 hour but unfortunately it turned out to be nearly 2 hours we could have walked away but we hadn’t booked anywhere else so decided to wait it out. The food is lovely but the time waiting was awful. It wasn’t the bar person’s fault and she tried her best to reassure us our food would come but it seems if you book you get a better service.

The restaurant offers a great selection of dishes that are well-prepared and cooked. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant is pet-friendly with its own parking lot.

Lovely little pub, very quiet. Went for lunch with friends. Lady behind bar very friendly. Ordered food, when food came, my friends were fine, but the cheese soufflé I ordered turned out to be completely frozen in the middle. Spoke to lady behind bar who was very apologetic and took plate to rectify straightaway. Offered me a free drink, which Ideclined as still had my original drink, said she would remove cost of my drink elderflower presse) from Bill. Returned shortly with my plate, which had not been replaced with a fresh one, but reheated further in the microwave. My friend paid for lunch and I assumed cost of my meal would of been taken off bill, but that wasn't the case. My friends enjoyed their choice of meals, but I would have to say that a microwaved cheese soufflé not recommended.

We enjoyed a meal and a glass of wine in the lovely beer garden on a sunny day at this great local pub. The staff were very pleasant and the atmosphere was wonderful.

Great little pub. Three of us and a dog dropped by for lunch. Food was delicious, very reasonably priced and of good quality. Lady behind the bar very friendly and welcoming. Even our nervous dog was relaxed. Would definitely recommend.
