Bidrage med feedbackIt must be about seven years since we last visited the Mad Hatter and seeing as we only had one day left of our holiday we decided to have a Cornish cream tea. The food was excellent, still warm scones with jam and clotted cream complete with a pot of hot tea. The lady serving was very nice and friendly and who can complain about sitting outdoors on a sunny Sunday morning? Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.
We have just left this tearoom after having 2 cream teas and my son had a Pannini and milkshake. We felt watched over towards the end of our time by the owner which made us feel uncomfortable. Not impressed seeing a family who had booked a table for 12.30 been turned away for been 6 minutes late as they was told the table was rebooked for 1pm!!. How can you possibly allow only half an hour for someone to have a table. We were the only people there and 2 other lots of people were also turned away one set of 6 people were seated and then told to leave as table was booked for 12.30 and this was the table that was also rejected at the door for been 6 minutes late no trying to accommodate them in anyway and not the way to run a business or deserving of customers to visit. Not all negative place was attractive and appealing just the attitude of the owner which made us feel uncomfortable. Even if asked would not be going again as first impressions count.
We visited this charming little tea room twice this week for breakfast and really enjoyed it. The staff and owner were all very pleasant.
We had a fantastic breakfast at this restaurant. The sausages were particularly amazing in quality. Every dish was cooked perfectly, and all of us in our group of 10 were impressed with our meals. The interior decor was enchanting, and we enjoyed the cute outdoor seating area. The chocolate brownie they serve is delicious and reasonably priced for the generous portion. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We visited here for a traditional cream tea. What a lovely little cafe. Lovely, clean with beautiful decoration and Alice in Wonderland memoribilia. All the covid restrictions were adhered to. The lady who seated us was lovely and friendly. The cream tea was delicious. The scones were warm, moist and and melted in the mouth. The jam was delicious and the clotted cream finished it off perfectly. I loved this quirky little cafe and recommend a visit.
