Just spent a week in Calstock. First night, Sunday, went in to find they had just closed but they offered to stay open for us to eat. Superb roast pork. Some of the best with huge amounts of veg. Been in every night for a...drink and another night to eat. Tonight was our last night and found something of a leaving night. New friends made over the last week What a great place. What a nice bunch of local people! Will definitely be back

We don’t normally go out on Valentine’s Day since the meals out are often over priced and underwhelming. But after a recent Sunday roast at The Boot we spotted their Valentine’s event. So glad we decided to go for it. The menu was great and...the food delicious: Champagne and oysters Prawn and avocado cocktail Chateaubriand with dauphinois potatoes, field mushrooms and tomatoes on the vine Hot chocolate fudge cake. Thank you Kim, Sean and your team in making it such a delicious and fun night out

Had dinner here and it was good. Excellent service, food and beer. Landlord Shaun and Landlady Kim are very convivial and attentive. Simple, well cooked local produce.. Excellent value, taste and a great traditional pub atmosphere.

The food is absolutely amazing, some of the best we have ever had! Kim and Shaun are great hosts and it is a lovely authentic village pub.

Took sons advice as he lives in Calstock and took family for a meal and what a meal. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The food was fantastic,this was on a Sunday so that gave them plenty to do and...as there was twelve of us they did fantastic. The three meat roast is to die for and if you have room try the bread and butter is fantastic. Will be going back for sure.
