Sixty - Cornwall,Isles of Scilly

I was staying in the hotel so made this a logical eaterie. I would absolutely book for here for food alone. A simple a la carte menu plus a specials board that changes daily. Food was delicious, presentation excellent, and staff really friendly.

We sat at a table of 8 by the door to find the ceiling had a huge patch of plasterwork on the ceiling above our seating area which was leaking in rain water!!! The drip turned into a constant dripping of water. We asked to move but they said they did not have any more tables to accommodate a party of 8. We then said we would squeeze on to a table for 6 taking our cutlery and drinks with us … The food was good value however the decor looked tired and needed some updating especially the ceiling which was letting in water.

Not a great experience. Long waits for starters and mains, and the chicken when it came was covered in an oily bitter 'barbecue ' sauce. We were expecting much better for a hotel meal, but apparently similar to alot of hotels in the area.

Called in for dinner, didnt pre book but they found us a table, friendly staff, great choice of foods and drinks. Food came, fresh tasty and good sized portions really nice vibe to the place definitely recommend a visit

We had the pleasure of eating here 3 evenings while staying at the pentire hotel. The choice was broad and varied, with all diets catered for. The portions were very generous and very good value for money. We loved the side salad- it was huge and colourful!
