La Casa Del Porton Rojo - Córdoba

I ate last night in La Casa del Porton Rojo; and I ate there a few times when I visited Cordoba two years ago. The food was good then and it's EXCELLENT now. I had the Nautilus salad (fresh and leafy, with lispen of...smoked salmon, the pizza with shrimps (langostinos, and their chocolates with ice cream. The portions were generous, but I was hungry. To drink I had a pitcher of La Casas fresh-mint-and-ginger infused lemonade: I drank all the liters; it was so good. The prices were very fair, especially compared to what you get in the tourist places. Everything was creatively combined: the textures of the salad were great; the pizza mix of cheese was super-tasty; and the rich, dark chocolate of brownie perfectly balanced its addition of slightly cooked ice cream. The flavor combinations were artistic. La Casa has a bar: it looked good sorted, but I missed it because I'm not in mixed drinks. The proposed special drink of the day looked interesting and attractive. The wine list was a good game for the menu; and if you only have Argentina's red wines, I suggest that you try their Torrontés: it is a very modest white that I think goes with most dishes. La Casa also offers tapas: It is a great place for everything from coffee and something small to go to a full meal. The menu is not huge, but all I had was well thought out, delicious and tasteful. If all you were, the usual tourist places, La Casa offers a look and taste as the Argentine half eats and depends on these days (not everyone is a gaucho hunkering over plates beef! . La Casa is not loud; I have never seen it before: instead, it is a relaxing place away from the tourist scene. (Please: If you have the need to get drunk and sloppy, go some touristy. You enter an artfully adapted old house with several dining areas and some on-street restaurants when the weather allows. Some nights, one of the larger rooms offers live music or tango lessons; and now and then, a character class. Simple English, supported with some hint, will be sufficient: the staff is friendly and patient. La Casa is located near the centre of Cordoba: I often go back and taxi wherever I stay.

This week I went to La Casa del Porton Rojo and we had a great time. In February I went to a birthday party there, and it was also great! A good service is very important to me, almost as important as the quality of food. And I get those in this restaurant, great time!

El lugar es lindo y la comida es rica pero la atención del personal es mala. Son lentos en atender, tenés que repetir los pedidos para que te lo lleven y tampoco te sirven la bebida. Mejorando la atención sería un lugar recomendable.

No se condice los precios ni con el lugar ni con la calidad de la comida. El servicio es bastante deficiente. Muy caro para lo que brindan.

Buen lugar para cena íntima. Ricas tapas y buena carta de vinos. La atención agradable, buena música.
