Micocos - Coral Gables

Based on its high rating, I was expecting a great spot to eat but what I got was a ~20 minute wait as the only customer there for premade-mix pancakes with fake maple syrup (cornsyrup). For the price, I should have expected as much but it was still disappointing. Also tried my girlfriend's quesadilla and it tasted exactly like the one from Cheesecake Factory.Don't let the 4.9 rating fool you; I guarantee you there's some fake reviews, this is a 3-star (meaning average) establishment at best.

Rich smoothies and coffees. Very nice and attentive.

I was at the dentist in the same building and was told to go here for coffee. I rolled over and found it tucked away in the corner. I tried to open the door and noticed a small little bump that was hard for me to go up while holding the door. A gentleman inside immediately noticed my struggle and came to my rescue. He even so kindly pushed me up when he realized it was difficult for me to go up. This gentleman was an employee because he then went around the counter and asked what I wanted. I ordered a spinach emp, a chocolate muffin and a small cafe con leche. He was again kind enough to realize I would need something to hold the coffee in and so he gave me a coffee holder and ask if he could hold the door for me again. I asked for additional help getting me out and he didn 't hesitate to do it. He was patient and accommodating and I was grateful he was there that day. I went back to the dentist and even though I shouldn 't have because he was about to dig into my teeth, couldn 't resist the muffin. Ofc at that point I needed to have the empanada first for obvious reasons. It was truly delicious. Since I don 't eat meat I tend to order spinach empanadas often. This one was perfectly crispy on the outside but flaky crispy, not too crispy where it 's crunching and breaking everywhere. It 's still had some softness to it where it needed to be soft. The filling was not over cooked. It was moist and super tasty. I throughly enjoyed it compared to other spinach empanadas I typically eat. Now... the muffin. It was soft and chocolaty and too was delicious I should have ordered a large coffee because the small just wasn 't enough. I def plan to frequent this spot any time I 'm in the area!

This place has really good food and has a good environment it’s a little difficult to find but worth it??
