Grand Palace - Coquitlam

After a few days of intense meetings at Henderson Place, we were invited to a thank you dinner at Grand Palace. The restaurant is located in the same spot as before, but it has been taken over by Kirin and has an excellent location. It is conveniently located near the Lincoln SkyTrain station and there is parking available in the mall with three floors of parking. The restaurant is elevated and spacious, with COVID guidelines being well followed. We were seated at a table with two tablets for five people next to each other. The atmosphere is traditional and luxurious, but some have noted that the quality may not be the same as before the pandemic. The service, while special, may not be as exceptional as it was in previous years.

I have been here over a dozen times and it has always been good and reliable. Some dim sum places may have more variety, but overall there is nothing but positives about this restaurant. The dining area is large, clean, and I have never had to wait too long for my food. It can get quite busy, but the service is always efficient.

If we want dimming and don't want to drive far, then this is the first place we would choose. we were here once in september and found that they were well followed by the security rules for covid with a possibility in and...a way from the area of dinning, tables quite far apart, etc. we went back to dec. security rules were still present and this time tables were further disassembled! we really felt safe here. the dim cums were always best and some new dishes were added. service was good as usual and even better this time as there were fewer customers. we had a lot of time to decide what we want to eat and if we needed more water in our tee, they would come immediately. we noticed that they had a small table close to the server to put their tablet and just serve us our dishes. this is a highly recommended restaurant!

This restaurant is my number a place to go for dim sum business or from my own, they have been back for months, their safety plan good, spot on, and the tablet room is well separated feet, and they only offer sitting opportunities, very impressed, we have an am-stination for six, we have a nice tablet in their private room very quiet it was very quiet the grand place is my top ten dim sum restaurants in B.C. so if they want a good quality place, food, that is the place they should dry! a lot mall parking, and sky train straight over the street!

We hadn't been to this restaurant in a while, but it's usually our go-to spot for dim sum in Coquitlam. Last week, we went with a group of friends and ordered a variety of dishes. Unfortunately, the Steamed Shrimp Dumplings and Shrimp Rice Rolls were disappointing - the shrimp was tough and lacked flavor. The Mixed Meat Fried Rice with Crispy Garlic Chilli and Pan Fried Shrimp Chive Cake were also just okay. The only dishes that stood out were the Prawn Tofu Sheet Rolls and Steam Sponge Cake with Ginger Sugar. It seems like we'll have to find a new place to try next time. Happy dining!
