Bidrage med feedbackI am not even sure where to begin. Honestly it's been years since I have experienced a train wreck like this. 7pm reservations and we wait for 15 minutes for a table and they were not busy at all. After another wait we order and 30-40 minutes later our appetizers and salads show up at the same time. After an hour and 40 minutes we still didn't have our entrees so it was time to leave. I went downstairs to find our waiter so I could pay for our drinks and what we had been served. At that point I realized we were the only people left in the entire restaurant. I am at a loss as to how bad this experience was and why, they had a full kitchen crew. All I do know is we will never be back.
More like Restaurant WHOA! I wanna first say: unbeatable prices for the quality of food and service here. The happy hour is outstanding. It’s almost as though this chef wants to create a special and satisfying experience for all, while not requiring patrons to shell out beaucoup bucks solely for the price of admission. You can have a 3-course prix fixe dinner for $65, and the 6-course chef’s tasting menu for $95– both offer wine pairing— BUT you can also have an outstanding $7 caipirinha or old fashioned from 4-6pm. I have to censor the rest of the following prices, because they’re such a bargain that I don’t want people to know the exact number. We had an awesome $x antipasti, paid $x for the best tempura prawns I’ve ever had (TEMPURA, not just fried), had a $1x lb of mussels in an amazing and authentic broth (guy brought us homemade focaccia to dip in it: the words cannot be said on this platform). They make their own pasta. We didn’t have the pasta, but we had the spot prawn special and it was sooooo interesting. Dare to be adventurous! There are things on the menu you won’t find anywhere else around. You can tell that somebody really competent is running the show, and everybody I saw seemed happy to work there. I live in one of the top foodie places in the world, and I think this is up there with the best, east to west, and I’m so glad this gem is in Coos Bay. I want to go every day for the rest of my trip. Thanks Restaurant O! Vegetarian options: Lots o’ “V”s up in here. Dietary restrictions: Many vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Ingredients are mostly clearly written in the description.
Will definitely be going back! I enjoy when a good chef can make a palete sing and our chef was exceptional! High praise for chef Seville and our bartender, Alex. The food from start to finish had wonderful flavor, perfect seasoning and reflected passion for his craft. Every dish was vibrant and delivered its flavors in delicious layers that made you almost want stand and ask for more! My favorite dish of the evening would have to be the perfectly cooked risotto as well as the seared scallop. A special shout out to our server, Stephanie. Shes quick and engaging and knows her menu and genuinely makes the dining experience feel more like home. I encourage anyone to stop in and experience this restaurant for something truly meaningful and will definitely keep you going back!
Service was awful and the food was plain and needs seasoning. I know what good service is and that was not it! If I am in Coos bay again I will not be going there.
