This is a fantastic fish and chips restaurant located at the corner of the shopping street. In addition to fish and chips, they offer other options like sausages, cakes, and a children's menu. The fish is incredibly delicious and fresh. The mushy peas are a must-try! The service is friendly and welcoming. Prices are very reasonable, and there is free parking available for up to one hour on the side road.
On a rainy October afternoon, we traveled from Chester to visit Conwy, feeling quite hungry. We decided to stop at The Galleon for some fish and chips, which we hadn't had in a long time. We sought refuge from the weather and were pleasantly surprised to find that the fish and chips were the best we’ve ever had. The fish was hot and well-portioned, while the batter was simply delicious. The whole experience was further enhanced by the incredibly friendly staff. The trip was definitely worth it, and I wouldn't hesitate to return. In fact, it's already on our list for our next visit. Thank you for a wonderful meal and a very positive experience!
I ordered two portions of chips and a large curry sauce, but I had to wait 20 minutes even though the restaurant was not busy. The chips were good and not greasy, though, and the staff was friendly and polite.
