Bidrage med feedbackStayed for 3 night break in this interesting, peaceful old hotel. It may be old and in the country but you will find there is not a speck of dust, spider or cobweb. Bedrooms large and bed comfortable, linen and towels spotless white. Everything you could wish for a luxurious shower in bathroom cabinet. Menu choices for all meals were varied, of excelllent quality. and generous portions. All served by the ever attentive but tactful host and staff. Wherever you sit, eat or sleep you will have a beautiful, tranquil view of the river. The pretty village of Trefriw is just a few minutes walk and you will find places to explore, eat or drink there. Travel on to explore castles, beaches or lakes, the choice is yours. Someone who has stayed here many times told us Trefriw has its own micro climate. True, we left the rain in Yorkshire and had two days of sushine. Only drawback, our stay was too short! At these prices I think we will be back soon.
The owners Lindsey and Ann are always around and extremely welcoming. This country house hotel is in a perfect setting, spotlessly clean and all food is home cooked by Ann. Can't recommend it enough, great place to stay.
We had dinner at this lovely restaurant over the Easter holidays. The dining room had an open fire with lovely views across the valley. The food was excellent and very tasty. Of particular note was the outstanding homemade chips, without doubt the best we've had in years. The ice cream was also top notch. My only regret is that we only dined here on our last night, otherwise we would have certainly visited more than once during our stay.
We have been staying at this hotel every September for the last 26 years with a group of friends. The owners are the perfect hosts and the cuisine is excellent. The venue is peaceful and the rooms are comfortable and classic. If you like shiny modern decor this is not for you. The owner is the excellent host. Sunday lunches are very popular. We had our 50th Wedding Anniversary evening there last year which was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. Would thoroughly recommend the Princes Arms for a peaceful stay with excellent dining.
We had a family dinner at the Princes arms a few weeks ago. Everything about it was excellent from the welcome by one of the owners, the table by the window overlooking the Conwy Valley and the food, which was freshly cooked. Full of flavour and good portions. This is old fashioned hospitality at its best.
