Bidrage med feedbackWe had lunch at the Miner's Cafe and we were overall impressed. I had the turkey melt; it was not real roast turkey but cold cuts. It was delicious but for almost $14.00 it was somewhat sparse on the filling and only accompanied by a...handful of potato chips. We shared a mushroom soup which was so tasty and banana cream pie. The banana cream pie was somewhat meh; the custard was greyish and thin with the canned whipped cream topping melting as we ate it. . The fruit pies are what to go for; we purchased a whole frozen bumbleberry to bake at our self-catering accommodations and it was amazing. This place is worth a stop if you're in the area. The locals we chatted with recommended the Egg Salad sandwich, we'll have to try that next time! Fall hours are in place and I do believe they will be closed sometime in October? Best to phone for hours before you go.
We had a simple little meal. We needed to stop to stretch our legs and get a bite. I had ham and grilled cheese. It was good, can't mess that up. The PIE was incredible!!I ordered a strawberry rhubarb piece of pie. I am not usually a crust lover but the crust was as equally as good as the filling. The filling tasted like Grandma just pulled the pie from the oven. Well done!!
We stopped here for lunch as we drove through the mountainsThere isn't much around but this place doesn't disappoint for homemade comfort food.
