Waffle House - Conover

We ordered a plate with eggs hasch-brauen or grÃ1⁄4sen, toast, waffle and coffee. It took forever for the waitress to pick up our order, bring our drinks and place our order, and we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time. We just ordered our eggs, we got them over hard, the grottos were full of salt, and we didn't even get our waffles with our order. We mentioned it to the waitress that she and the chef argued that they submit this order, and he placed the waffles. He did something else that burned the waffles that he had put in the waffle iron. He tried the waffles to offer us the burned waffles to take with us and didn't even give us a discount for our meal. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. I'm sorry.

Came in during the shift so no one was ready to serve us. Then testified the settings between the layers. I just wanted some food. Could definitely do without the drama.

Absolutely the worst I ever had! Eating was terrible and every 2 years old could have got better service! when I asked when the mgr would be available, the cook turned around and asked me what I need? when I tried to explain the chaos of my whole experience, he shruged his shoulders and continued to cook. nothing!

Food is great and best coffee in town but you can never get a seat. They only have 25% of the tables available or are doing take out only. I would prefer to sit and wait a little longer, enjoying my coffee, knowing service is slower due to staffing than going there, parking, walking in, and being turned away. I've had the same experience at other local Waffle Houses so we just have quit going. We ate there regularly, at least twice a week before Covid and/or staffing issues. ?

My wife and I both ordered over medium eggs. Both plates came with the whites not done. We sent them back. Instead of making fresh eggs they put the old ones back on the grill. They came back and still were not satisfactory. We just let it go. The food there is usually wonderful but the last few times we went is wasn't great.
