Perfect local..good friendly staff and customers..and very cheap prices!!

Pub under new ownership (Greene King). Decor refurbished with suitable tables and seating layout for a busy drinking pub.Happened on my sole visit that the hand pumped IPA was unavailable owing to the line being cleaned. Hence, scoring at 3 stars. In the remote past I lived for a while in Greene Kings 's home region. So I visit their these days much more widely dispersed chain of branded outlets occasionally to savour a pint of IPA.There are a few interesting framed photos of local scenes, contemporary and historical. Though these are in the background rather full on and are not accompanied by captions (excepting one early 20th Century street scene).

Average local pub. open late and gets very busy good atmosphere, good music the staff are very quick at serving at the bar no trouble on the weekends

An easy place to enjoy a visit.
