The Daily Coffee Shop- West Midtown

I love the food, drinks, and environment here. However, almost every time I visit I experience an issue with the service. I will not be visiting again after my latest visit. On Sunday January 28th, I ordered drinks and food for dining in. Our drinks arrived promptly, but after 25 minutes of waiting for our food, I went to speak with the employee at the cash register. I explained the situation to the employee and they went back to the kitchen where I saw them grab our food that had been sitting there in the open. They handed the plates to me and rudely said: “we sent two people out to look for you and called your name”. I didn’t know what to respond to this, so I took the food and returned to my table. I was stunned that I was being reprimanded because the employees couldn’t locate the number on our table. We began to eat our food, but it was cold and had clearly been sitting out since it was ready. At this point, we had no interest in eating the food anymore, especially after the way the employee had treated me, so we packed up and took the food back to the front to ask for a refund. The same employee who had handed my food to me didn’t say a word and walked away. The manager came back, without the other employee, and kindly offered us a refund.

First time at this cafe with friends. One of my friends suggested this place for good coffee and breakfast.We ordered couple of items, cortado, cappuccino with oat milk, chill pill hot drink, avocado toast with side of potatoes, salmon cheese toast. The drinks were okay not bad, the cappuccino wasn't hot enough. The avocado toast was good but there was too much olive oil poured on it. The potatoes were average. The place was busy and we had to wait in the queue to order. It was fast though. I wish they had more vegan options for breakfast.Would like to try the Iced lattes next time. Ambience was good and lively and also the staff.

The Daily is very hit or miss. Today was a huge miss for me. My husband I ordered two iced salted caramel lattes. When they got to the table, it looked like we had ordered two glasses of milk. My husband went up to the barista asked for an extra shot she filled it up w/ drip coffee. It appeared that the other espresso drinks were being made w/ drip coffee as well. I ordered the 3 egg burrito, which was missing the home fries the salsa verde. It came w/ cheese, but it definitely wasn’t cheddar, as it had an almost grainy texture. After spending almost $50 on a very disappointing meal having to buss our own table, I’m not sure we’ll be back.

Got the wrong order twice. Both things were cold and barely had any protein. I couldn’t care for waiting for another wrong order that they wouldn’t care to get right. I never leave reviews either but $20 and disappoint deserves it

We are regulars at The Daily. We love weekend brunches! The food is so yummy, it’s a great atmosphere and kid friendly for our little guys!We’ve rented out the space to host a couples bridal shower and a couples baby shower. Both have turned out so beautiful!! The food is always delicious. (Highly recommend the toast bar for a fun appetizer!)Colby, Shay, and Truth went above and beyond to help with yesterday’s shower!
