L&l Hawaiian Barbecue - Concord

Yes, yes and YES! I ordered from Uber Eats. The Beef Short Ribs were sweet, salty, and grilled just right a little on tough side but I never had a super tender short rib only beef rib. The portion definitely didn't disappoint. The white rice was perfectly cooked-sticky and could cut it and pick up with a fork. Perfect to my liking as I'm not usually a white rice girl. The sauce that looks like soy sauce but is not poured on top is fabulous. Ugh I just ate 2 cups of rice ALONE! Macaroni Salad was Really good too just wish they would have put the salad and macaroni salad in a separate bag from hot food. Pet peeve. Hot and cold food together when doing take out by the time you eat it your lettuce is warm Salad was good with ginger dressing after I put back in fridge to get cold. But over all must try if you like These Things! Will definitely order again.

Hawaiian for lunch in North Carolina? You betcha, hoaloha! A little overwhelmed by foods I did not quite recognize, I spotted chicken katsu and went with that. What arrived about ten minutes later was a HUGE plate of crispy slices chicken with two scoops of white rice and one scoop of macaroni salad. The chicken was tasty, crunchy and delicious especially when dipped in the sweet sauce. The rice was light and fluffy. The macaroni salad was creamy and tasty. All this while listening to Hawaiian music Shazam said it was E Kailua E by Justin. Friendly service and a very clean restaurant. A few tables inside and a couple of tables outside. Was so happy to see an L&L while visiting the Charlotte area last year. At the time, the Atlanta area location had not opened up yet (which I still haven't been to), and I was craving some food from back home. I stopped in for dinner and got the beef stew plate, the fried mahi mahi plate, and some drinks. I also got some cute stickers. All the workers and the lady (either owner or manager) were very nice. It was so good to have some comfort food from back home. Everything was cooked perfectly and on-par with what I grew up with in terms of L&L locations. The customers that came thru all were pleasant too. It was a cozy vibe. I enjoyed my sit-down meal there and took some leftovers to go. I would definitely recommend this L&L if you're in the area or passing through.

A cool Hawaiian breeze blowing into Concord. Imagine that.... I did today as I went into this establishment and got lunch for my husband. Service was excellent and the place was very clean. I have never eaten Hawaiian food before in my life, but as it turns out, Spam is something that they actually choose to eat there. There were a lot of exotic sounding drinks and the menu was massive! The portions are generous, but my husband doesn 't eat much so I got him a grilled chicken sandwich with fries. It smelled amazing, and I thought it would be a huge hit. Surprisingly, my husband seems unimpressed by his chicken sandwich. It remains largely untouched. It has a nice looking charring on the boneless chicken thigh, but I am told it 's a very fatty cut of meat. Finally, he managed three bites and pronounced it god awful. I will go back and try one for myself one day. Because it looked good and smelled great to me.

Great food, great service, chill atmosphere--just as I remember it in Southern California many years ago! I haven't seen an L L in years and had it last time I was in Charlotte for my daughter's state track meet! We are coming up again for a cheer competition and I cannot wait to grab my go to bbq mix plate, spam plate spam musubi again!
