Bidrage med feedbackA dinner with lights (many) and some shadows (pow but very dark). the location is sublime, with landscape and panorama that alone is worth a journey from anywhere in the world. pleasant welcome of the group in room, competent and never intrusive. very interesting is the possibility to build the degotation menu (5 or 7 courses,) with courses dedicated above all to the many and wonderful products of the sea of the coast and the lands of the milky mountains. the sacred pamphlet that we chose as dessert, presented in a decomposed and semi-freddd version, is worth only one hundred thousand stars. memorable! We come, unfortunately, to the lights. the wine industry (in general) and our specific experience. Firstly, from my point of view, the card is absolutely shallow and with truly incomprehensible embroidery. is good the choice to limit foreign labels but it is not possible not to give space to many Italian territories that express excellence, especially in the field of white. a single brand, two or three Abruzzo, Sicilian choices and sarda really banale. I would like to say that I should not be present in a restaurant of this level (the basis of jermann, please, not, especially if recharged at incomprehensible prices) to us then a very unpleasant episode, absolutely unjustified. I downloaded in the morning the wine card from their site, choosing the yellow ribolla of gravner, vintage 2013 and pre-taken 120€, except then discover to the payment that the price charged was 170€. on request of explanations, I was told that on the site there was an old version of the card dating back to last year. It is not my costume to insist and I paid without saying anything but their is an unforgivable mistake, managed very bad. I will not go to legal evaluations of a clear resolution, but disappointment is so great. I must say that this morning the wine card on the site has been updated.
Michelin one star Located in a monastery, with elegant but simple food, (in the monastic tradition? . This lived up to the description on the website, so no surprises. It is more about skillful preparation than complexity. Translated, some may find it a tad unexciting. Nothing was bad, just nothing curled our toes, so to speak. The duck was very good, filet was also very good. The service was great, the atmosphere was great. On the balcony, staring out into the great void that is the Mediterranean at night. Would like to have seen it in the day. Very pleasant, lovely courtyard below the restaurant too. Wife like her non-alcoholic cocktail a lot. I enjoyed a nice ‘96 Barbera on the “by the glass” list. Always a pleasure to find an aged wine by the glass.
Excellent meal and service in a beautiful setting. The dishes were creative and consistently well done. Lots of little “extras” including pallet cleanser before desert, amuse bouche sampler to start, and an excellent fresh bread display. Tasting menu was well worth it. Easily deserving of the star, better than most we’ve tried with that rating.
This is a good restaurant, but it’s not even close to the level of Michelin star. On this trip we had a chance to visit two Michelin restaurants: Il Refettorio and Chic Nonna in Florence, both have 1 Michelin star, but the difference in food, service and ambiance is huge. We don’t recommend this restaurant!
A beautiful experience of an evening that turns into a special evening the place already fascinates you from the entrance with the presence of an ancient convent where you see a well and a well maintained crib. dinner and place went beyond expectations
