We've eaten here many times before Covid met. Our 3 preteen children and I always enjoyed the food. We celebrated our son's birthday in October 2020 by ordering us (as they are not open for din-in). We ordered the comb meal for 6 and... in ginger beef instead of the shrimp shell. First, they wanted to charge us $5 more for substitution. We have asked why, as their ginger beef bowl is lower than their shrimps. They couldn't fight and give up $5. Our excitement was quickly deleted when we opened the meal. We could not recognize the same dishes we learned. The ginger beef was so dry that my wife cut her throat. I couldn't taste a ginger and the sauce we enjoyed was gone. It was dry lumps of hard meat without taste. The children usually love victory and broth. They didn't finish it because it had another, inconspicuous taste. The sweet and sour pork was Gooey flowers of baked meat. I couldn't distinguish that the sauce was sweet and sour sauce. It was a tasteless gel. It seems that the owners have shortened quality to survive the Covid downturn in the business. That was a bad decision. We're looking for a new favorite place to go after my other son's birthday.

We've been going to Good View since I was a kid growing up in Victoria, and we're still staying today! I have always found the food consistently and tasty - especially the vegetables. They are always fresh and crunchy!

Flavorless summarizes it. I never write reviews, but that was so bad...sweet and sour pork in our combos was dry dark brown pieces without rice sauce and noodles were a tasteless musk and hard vegetables in the Chiop Suey. I felt like... I ate a frozen Chinese dinner from the grocery store and that's polite. All my life, I've never had Chinese so bad. Even the sweet and sour sauce I ordered was almost tasteless. The strips of almond chickens were so ridiculously thin and drop into fat, but probably the only edible part.

It used to be good, now it 's flavourless goop. They are NOT consistent and it 's just yukky. And they charge WAYYYY to much for the portions and quality. I used to order all the time from here. Thanks, but No thanks.
