Forbidden Root Columbus

We were there as a part of a large group for appetizers and drinks. Food was 4 star worthy, though they had difficulty in keeping the buffet stocked. Seemed to not have enough plates and cutlery on hand for our group. Good drinks and nice casual vibe. Reasonably priced.

Restaurant is located in Easton area so parking is not much of a problem with street and free garsge psrking. We were promptly sested without reservations. Our server promptly brought water and took our beverage orders. First, our entree orders we ordered the tuna poke, which was good and a double smashburger which had thin patties and over cooked. Also, too much sauce was on top of the burger patties. Nice micro brewery with a large selection of beers. I tried Ohio High, which had all the ingredients grown in Ohio. Crisp and lite, great summer beer.

Stopped by for lunch at the bar. I would recommend the small plates. We loved the sauerkraut balls and burrata! Food came out fast. They were also happy to split our entre for us. I really enjoyed the peach wit.

Had a great time. Salmon sandwich was great. I don't drink beer, but those in our party that got there house brews said they were VERY GOOD.Hope you enjoy it.

My salad didn't look fresh but everything else we ordered was great.
