Bidrage med feedbackI've eaten here 4 times and loved every experience. The food is great and the ladies are nice and talkative. Although, it had been months since my last visit, they remembered me. The waitress surprised me by remembering my name. Almost.
It can take a while to get your food here, but it's pretty darn good food, the kind that sticks to your bones and makes you feel warm. All the classic Jamaican choices are here, and I went with the curry chicken on top of peas and rice, paired with cabbage and a beef patty. Yum! Huge portions too, I had enough for lunch the next day!
I was told about this place by a friend that lives in the area. He figured since I am Caribbean I would enjoy the food; Cuban and Jamaican cuisine is very different but have similarities, and I must say the curry goat I ordered was very good. The plantains were very fresh and cooked beautifully; the rice and peas could have used a little more seasoning and cooked for a shorter time, but overall the dish was delicious and flavorful. I can’t remember what type of tea I ordered but I wish I could have gotten it in a gallon jug. I also loved the fact that there was a little Caribbean store next door. Can’t find spices like that at Walmart!
Great taste! Jerk chicken, rice and fried plantain plate was delicious. There was a little confusion when distributing the food to the proper customer based on order and short staffed. However all the staff was respectful, courteous and helpful through the process. Might have a little wait to order at times but worth it.
Oxtails were to salty and the rice&peas were salty as well will not be going back if you want great food try cooking it your self. And oxtails needed to cook longer they were hard I found out about à nother spot call island paradise now that was well worth it will be going back to island paradise.
