Glenn's Cafe - Columbia

Great location, excellent service. Market Salad was large and a nice flavor but nothing exceptional. I added the salmon to the salad I asked for it to be blackened. They did blacken the salmon, but they also overcooked it until dry. The salmon portion was 2 small pieces.The gumbo soup bowl was ample and flavorful. I like spicy food so for me it was not as spicy as I would have preferred.I went on a Friday night with a group between 6 and 7:30 pm. The restaurant was very busy. Food still came quickly and accurately. The free champagne sample was delicious. However, it was VERY loud making conversations difficult. It was busy and tables were too close.

Excellent breakfast experience at our hotel restaurant. Pricy, but very good food and service.

Extra star for the stellar fast, friendly service.Was at the Tiger for an event, snuck down to order to go lunch. Ordered a winter salad and added steak they asked how to cook it, ordered mid rare (knowing since it's to go it may be slightly past that).The salad itself was crisp and delicious but the $9 added steak was tiny, tough, and overcooked to the point of being burnt. Also, typically a steak is sliced for a salad (but my wrists are capable, no big deal).Overall ok but DEFINITELY overpriced for quality.
