Applebee's Grill - Columbia

This is the second time I have ordered carside to go. The first time it took them at least 20 extra minutes to bring my food out. The second time, after an extra 20 minute wait, I had to go inside to get my order. It was raining and I would have preferred to wait in my car. You know, like an actual carside to go?

If I could give 0 stars I would. My family arrived at Applebees around 8:30 this evening and was immediately told there was a 10-15 wait. No problem, we were fine waiting. After waiting about 10 minutes we were told it would be another 10 minutes. We came for a late dinner, so again no problem we decided to wait. Two minutes later a party of 6 walks in. They were informed of the same wait time we were told (10-15 minutes). No more than 2 minutes later the hostess comes back to inform my family that our table was available. We followed them yo a table where they took two glasses from (it had not been cleaned off yet). He then proceeded to walk away not directly indicating which table so we went to the table next to where he stopped. Our waitress came shortly after to take our drinks. She noticed we didn’t have menus so she went to grab some for us. While we were waiting we overheard an Applebee employee looking for the manager stating “he never do actual work”. Our waitress returns to us not only saying that we jumped in front of the party behind us but also that we sat ourselves and she was informed not to serve us. We were appalled. At the time the party behind us was being seated so I asked them. Before they could respond a white man who I’m assuming is the manager answered for them and said “yes”. The party replied and said “no y’all got here first”. Although our waitress was going to serve us anyways the accusation was not only entirely untruthful, it was appalling, and disrespectful. And the manager never apologized.

Terrible service. Waited to be seated for 20 minutes only for a larger party to come in, walk past us, and sit down immediately without a reservation. We asked. It was confirmed that they did not make a reservation. The manager did nothing about this and we were never seated after waiting another 20 minutes. Don't waste your time trying to eat here.

I am very disappointed at this Applebee's. My 11 year old daughter wanted to eat here for her Birthday it was 7 of us and we had to wait over 20 minutes for a table and a team came in from Clafin University with their coach who had over 7 students and they just went and sat themselves at a table and got a way with it. The waitress lied and said they made reservations which clearly they didn't because I heard the coach say do y'all want to eat here or take to go. The Manager was ok with it so they got served before us which is very RUDE oh and by the way they have spider web's, we left. This is how you treat customers Unprofessional. We went to Oliver Garden. NEVER AGAIN APPLEBEE'S ON DEVINE

This has been my first time visiting this location in over 2 years and Don my server was absolutely amazing. His attentiveness to my son and I needs was exceptional. Although the establishment was extremely busy, he remained professional and kept a smile on his face. Don has great mannerisms and very personable. He is definitely a great vibe for the establishment!
