Urban Tandoor - Colorado Springs

The food was incredible. Our server, Sam, was very helpful in recommending dishes, and he was attentive and friendly. I loved my drink from the bar, and our meals were delivered by a talking robot. My family and I will definitely be coming back.

During our trip to Colorado Springs, a tour guide highly recommended this restaurant. The service was outstanding, and the food was a perfect 10/10. If you're in search of authentic Indian cuisine, this is the place to go. Just a heads up, it can be a bit on the pricey side.

--- The atmosphere, presentation, and pricing suggest that the restaurant is aiming for a fine dining or upscale experience, and in terms of those aspects, it is indeed good! However, the service left much to be desired. Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I believe service should involve more than just placing a bottle of water on the table and allowing customers to pour it themselves. The server took our order but didn’t provide knowledgeable answers to our questions. I noticed the kitchen uses a robot to deliver food, which is a novel approach, but the overall execution felt lacking. The servers seemed to follow the robot to the tables without much engagement. Additionally, there was a noticeable pressure put on us when paying with a credit card, especially after we requested the check. We left an 18% tip instead of 15%, but certainly not the 25% indicated on the machine, since we work in the food service industry ourselves. I hope the management takes this feedback into account and improves the service in the future. The ambience of this restaurant was very nice. The food was very bad. We ordered biryani and it tasted so pathetic. The quantity of food served for the price is also less. We tried plenty of dishes and nothing met expectations. Other than ambience, nothing was great. Bread items (roti, naan) were good. I would definitely not recommend this place. When we gave feedback to the employee, he wasn't even paying attention and not willing to accept it. Instead he was focused on attending to other customers.

Saira was absolutely adorable and such a hard working little lady. She assisted as needed since the restaurant was extremely busy and the wait staff were slammed.The CHEF was floating around the restaurant ensuring that all meals were being enjoyed. As a fellow Chef I appreciated that aspect so much.Every dish we had was fantastic!Will definitely be dining here again.
