Bidrage med feedbackOne of the most famous lamb satays in Surakarta. Visited at noon near lunch time, we found that the place was crowded, fortunately we managed to find some seats. One of the staff came to us in no time for our orders, went for lamb satay, sate buntel (seasoned minced meat wrapped in fatty parts), and tongseng masak (lamb leftovers in light turmeric coconut milk). Orders were ready in about 15 minutes. The satay was quite tender, seasoned just right, served with shredded cabbage and shallots, tasted savory and a bit sweet, easily became one of my favorite satays. The satay buntel was a bit dry outside but juicy inside, tasted good but honestly not my favorite. The tengkleng was somewhat good and the leftovers was tender enough to bit and chew. Overall nothing to complain for. Price is standard. Staffs were quite helpful. There is no special place for parking. Cash and non-cash payment accepted. One thing to consider, might be better not to visit at the noon in the dry (between August to late September/ early October) season, it’s unbearably hot inside the place.
This satay food stalls had lamb satay, in big slices. One portion of ten satay with price 55K rupiahs. Same portion of ‘sate buntel’ had 2 big satay. Full enough for 2 person. Tengkleng or tongseng also delicious for 40K rupiahs. The price was rather high, worth for big portion and good taste. Satay lover should try this stalls.
Tengleng comes cold, lately to many flies, the table wasn't clean properly
Had the chance to visit last weekend. Came around busiest hour for lunch. Service was relatively quick. Portion is big. Sate was definitely a must try with the highlight on sate buntel.
For me it’s just ok, not that great to be honest, service was fast tho
