J's Fish Chips - coln City

I got the four piece, the halibut and shrimp were delicious! There is another of food for a reasonable price. If you want some solid fish and chips, this is worth the stop.

I can 't recommend this place highly enough if you 're looking for fish and chips that taste like they came fresh from the freezer, service that aims to please those who enjoy being insulted, and decor that is resplendent with asinine and petty rules that are the pinnacle of an overall experience that leaves you asking was I really that hungry to willingly eat here?

When I parked in the parking lot and walked towards the restaurant, I was confronted by a sign that tells people how to order and when to sit. I thought that this was the 21st century equivalent of my way or the highway. My theory was almost instantly proven by the servers who were neither efficient nor friendly. We ordered at the counter and seated by the server with a wave of her hand. When the food finally arrived, we asked for water, and it was grudgingly delivered. The chef had done a good job on the food. My clam stips were tender, well flavored, and crispy. The curly fries were done well. My wife's basket of fish and shrimp was very good. The portion of the restaurant we were in had six two person tables and two four person person tables. During prime time, the restaurant would be very crowded. Parking: J's could use more parking spaces considering how popular it is.

What a great little place! Just get there early if you're dining in or you can get it to go. Yes, it's that good!! We had the cod (tender, flaky and not chewy) and clam strips with fries (golden brown and delicious).

I came here with a large group and tried all of the types of fish. They were all very delicious. My favorite dish was probably the fried shrimp. The staff was super nice and the tables were all very clean. Overall I would definitely recommend this to anyone who's in the area.
