Patisserie Fortwenger - Colmar

I went in to buy a postcard and they offered me a sample taste of their Leckerlis aux fruits. I ended up buying a package. It disappeared too quickly and I was out of town by then. I bought another in Strasbourg I think and it too was gone in short order. Now I'm back in the USA and I'm trying to get them to mail me a lot. I don't think they ship to the USA and I am heartbroken. Do I really have to travel all the way there to get some more? Can I win the lottery?

Had some coffee and a pastry both of which were very nice. Worth a look if you are hungry for a quick snack

We ducked into Fortwenger after our winery tour. The bakery has a large selection of breads and pastries.

We had read that there was an excellent gingerbread shop across from the Pfister House. Since my wife was a gingerbread fan, I went back to the area to get her some gingerbread. The shop was a cute place and it did smell so good. I tried a sample of one of their types of gingerbread and knew immediately that it was perfect for my darling wife. It was also perfect for me, too.
