St Vedas - Coldingham

I visited this restaurant for the first time with my 4 and 7-year-old children, all suited up in neoprene wetsuits. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making the experience great for kids. There was a family-like atmosphere, and they interacted wonderfully with our children. We went in April, and while it wasn’t warm, the wetsuits allowed us to stay in the water longer than we anticipated. Renting the wetsuits and bodyboards was a fantastic value, and they also offer surfing lessons. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment and its staff. It’s a real gem right next to a fantastic beach with a café. Thank you for the excellent service!

This is an outstanding family-run surf shop. I've purchased from them a few times, and I can't praise their customer service enough. Forget about the big online retailers; just drop by or give them a call. They provide personalized service that far surpasses anything you'll find elsewhere!

I brought the kids to rent proper winter wetsuits, complete with hoods, boots, and gloves. The quality of the rentals was impressive, and the staff was very attentive, ensuring we found wetsuits that fit comfortably. I also appreciated the helpful tips on how to get four little feet into four tiny boots! The children had an amazing time playing in the frigid North Sea for about an hour (with the air temperature around 8°C and the water about 12°C), which was longer than I had anticipated. We had a fantastic day, thanks to the great atmosphere and the excellent service from the St. Vedas team. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to rent suits and enjoy a day at the beach, or even for a surfing introduction, especially in wet weather with kids. Thank you for a wonderful day! I have a surfboard for my son dug out and the service was the best I ever had to finish 10 stars, even after the load was closed, the owners still had time to help me with the dachregal on my car. would be buying in here.
