The Crown - Colchester

We arrived without a reservation on a busy Saturday evening and were quickly seated at a table. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. We were served by several friendly and attentive waitstaff who were a true asset to the restaurant.

Beautiful place to eat with the family. eating was nice and service was good. the staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean. will return definitiw. only critique was that she had to eat one of my daughters early, but not my other daughter, so she had to wait.

Wow We walked in and was greeted by some friendly staff, who it turned out couldn't do enough to help. I had the Rib eye which was perfectly cooked and sweet potato fries, with the prerequisite English mustard. My partner had the fish and chips which she said was lovely if slightly overcooked. For desert I had the coffee with a small Eton mess, Small? it was as big as my partners raspberry tart. The waitress was lovely

We had a fantastic meal at this restaurant. I would highly recommend the black or hunter chicken dishes. If you enjoy chocolate desserts, definitely try the chocolate flowerpot with edible flowers - it was not only beautiful but also delicious.

The restaurant is a spacious pub with ample seating both indoors and outdoors. It was enjoyable to dine in the garden as the sun set. The drink selection consists of typical brands like Peroni, Amstel, Stella, Pravha, Guinness, Sharps Atlantic, and some cask beers. They may benefit from having more staff during peak times, but the employees that were there were friendly and welcoming.
