Costa Coffee Drive Thru - Colchester

I would recommend not ordering Costa from this specific branch through Uber Eats or Deliveroo. I recently received my large Cappuccino that I paid extra for, and it either arrived empty or half consumed by the delivery driver.

The lines at this restaurant are terrible and move very slowly, making it feel like a cafeteria. The staff appear uninterested and the food often runs out. I find myself going to Starbucks more frequently now. It's a shame because this place used to be acceptable, but has quickly declined.

I would not recommend using their click and collect service. I have tried to order twice and both times my order was confirmed, only to be subsequently cancelled due to the online service being down. The quality of chicken in their toasted sandwich was poor, as the chicken appeared to be burnt. I also received a dirty container with part of a muffin inside. Additionally, I tried to order a Ginsters sausage roll online, but was informed in store that they did not carry that item.

V-e-r-y s-l-o-w serving of drinks. People in the queue behind us walked out due to the wait. Food and drink to the usual costa standard so the 1 point awarded for that.

We were very well looked after. I had a decaffeinated cappuccino and a gluten free mince tart. They heated up the tart and served it really prettily with cream. My friend had a decaffeinated American and a custard tart. Her tart was also heated up. We were also given a little glass with a dairy alternative to cream which was also very tasty.
