Claudius Gateway - Colchester

Large cafe just across from Castle Museum. Tea, coffee, cakes simple meals. Also contains remains of foundations of Claudian Gateway Portico. Also large screens and displays showing interpretation of buildings. Very pleasant young man serving too. Well recommended.

Absolutely love it, we always go here when we get into the city. the latte and the hazelnut lattes are excellent. above average we enjoy them so much that we always have two. very friendly and friendly staff. marvellous exhibition on the right at them enter the building. the arcade is a spectacular sound and as a lover of history this is my new choice for coffee. will always come back.
