The Brasserie - Coffs Harbour

Fantisic stay lovely food nice staff will visit again soon as well have told friends and family they are looking forward to staying

The old woman who was on as duty manager the night we went there was incredibly rude and unwelcoming.

Dropped into the bistro as we were passing through Coffs. Had a choice between a or lunch. We ordered the slow-braised lamb shoulder and sirloin steak and we were not disappointed. The food was lovely and decently portioned. One thing to note ..the food is served via a chef at a bain-marie, not via table service.

Called to book and was told someone would call us back to confirm no one did. We arrived only to be told we needed hard copy drivers licences, we had electronic (as is the way with things now, like debit cards etc) but hubs...had to return to our accommodation to bring back physical licences , while we waited and were made to feel like aliens- being watched like hawks and talked about loudly as we waited! We quickly called our friends to ensure they had their licences. Eventually we were checked in and asked to put in a phone number- a receipt was printed explaining we had agreed to the clubs term n conditions, which we weren’t aware of nor had we read as we entered, now after initially arriving, the last post began to play and we were yelled at for walking into the establishment told quite firmly to get out and stand to attention. Baffled we froze- our children frightened- yet another thing we were not aware of! each night this happens at RSL’s around the country good to know. Graham at the bar was fantastic though and the food edible,so after a few drinks we were able to relax a little and not let the first part of the evening complex destroy our night. The arrogance of the men on the door was disgusting.

Popped in there for lunch, we ordered x steaks for lunch not only are the meals overpriced but absolute **** we asked for the steaks to be cooked medium they came out overcooked and dry we certainly won't be back
