Gross Donuts - Coeur d'Alene

This place is incredible! It's open 24 hours, making it the perfect spot for a quick dessert or breakfast. We tried a couple of blueberry fritters, and they were fresh and absolutely delightful. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant had a clean and welcoming atmosphere. We'll definitely be returning!

It can get a bit pricey if you're not careful with the pricing when ordering a dozen, especially since the fancy donuts cost extra. Cream-filled and custard-filled donuts are classified as fancy, so if you order a dozen of all fancy donuts, be prepared to spend a bit more. But honestly, I don't mind the cost — they're exceptional donuts, and I'm willing to pay for deliciousness at any time of day. The staff's positive attitude and excellent service make it even better. I've never felt unwelcome there, unlike at Donut House, where the staff can be rude and short-tempered, often rolling their eyes as if to say, "Why are you here if you don’t know what you want?" The only time I've visited Gross Donuts and not found a great selection was on National Donut Day, near the end of the hours when they were giving away free donuts. But even then, the donut we got was wonderfully soft and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. These are the only donuts I buy anymore. Thank you, Gross Donuts, for providing CDA with such great donuts!

We stopped for breakfast on our way to the airport before heading back to Texas, and we’re so glad we did! My husband has always been a fan of cherry fritters and cake donuts, and these were by far the best we’ve ever tasted! Every donut shop should take notes from this family-owned business! The maple bacon and pecan cinnamon roll were incredible as well!

We stopped in because we were intrigued by the name and we were not disappointed. The selection was incredible and the quality was amazing! Our boys were appalled that we not only allowed, but insisted they eat only donuts for breakfast! Lol it was a family road trip. The super cool part? It's the founders' last name! There is a wonderful tribute to the parents that started the business from their children. I would highly recommend you stop in for a bakers' dozen. We'd be in trouble if we lived close by, but we'll be sure to stop next time we're in town.

5 stars because you weren't out of doughnuts like everywhere else always is. The doughnuts were good and so was the coffee. The employee even held the door open for us on his way out!
