Cochrane Dairy Queen

I’ve been ordering Dairy Queen cakes for kids every year for their birthdays, and this year was no different. Every year DQ exceeds my expectations with their fabulous cakes, except for this time that I ordered my cake from the bow trail location. The cake was significantly thinner than usual, and when we cut it we noticed that the cake had no chocolate ice cream at all which was my daughter’s favourite part of the cake). I had already pre paid my cake from a week ago and did not have time to deal with it at the store since the guest were waiting the party while I picked up the cake.

The ice cream at this restaurant is incredibly delicious. The other food options are also quite good. However, the washroom was not very clean and sometimes there is a wait for someone to take your order. Overall, I would rate the food as 5 out of 5.

I really enjoy the smoky flavor of DQ hamburgers! However, I find the prices on the ice cream menu to be too high. After all, this is Dairy Queen, not a fancy gourmet ice cream shop! Also, I wish they would mix their Blizzards more thoroughly. Overall, I would rate the food 4 out of 5 stars.

I used to frequent this particular establishment because it was the nearest one to me that offered shakes with plastic straws. Unfortunately, it seems they no longer provide them. Despite my disagreement with the law, they are still permitted to serve them until the end of the year. The alternative straws they now use are of poor quality and negatively affect the taste of the drinks. It would be beneficial for them to continue offering plastic straws through the remaining window of time allowed.

One of the staff accidentally overcharged us approx $20. Although it was a busy drive thru, the manager helped solve the problem while giving us a bonus treat. Great leadership hereFood: 5/5
