Sazon Mexicana - Coba

Nous sommes aller s’asseoir au restaurant Ki Hanal en face en premier. On nous a ignoré de longues minutes et les employés n'étaient dédiés que pour les groupes venu en autobus. J'ai décidé de traverser de l'autre coté au Sazon. J'étais incertain au début car il n'y avait pas de clients. Le proprio nous a accueilli et présenté le menu. Ma femme et moi avons pris 2 cola, 1 plat de guacamole et 1 plat de crevettes grillées.Le proprio qui est à la fois serveur et cuisinier a mis environ 20 minutes pour cuisiner le tout. Tout était frais fait suivant notre commande ce qui peut expliqué aisément le 20 minutes. Tout était bon et bien apprêté. Prix très honnête.Le proprio est un honnête homme, il nous a expliqué que lui et sa femme se relayait, que tout était frais et qu'il était fier de son petit restaurant. Nous passons donc le mot de ne pas hésiter à l'encourager!

If you want to eat where the food is fresh and you are not dealing with the hoards of tour bus people - go here!! We were looking for a place to eat following our visit to the Coba Ruins and ended up at the furthest restaurant along the north side of the parking lot (Just keep walking past the little shops and at least 1 other restaurant). We are a family of 5 - with 3 boys under the age of 9. The chicken tacos (eaten by two of my boys) - were delicious, the quesadilla (my youngest's pick) - so cheesy and good. I had the grilled fish and my husband had the Yucatec chicken - both were fantastic (the fish was probably the best I've had in a long time). All of it was freshly cooked and simply tasted amazing. You could also get fresh coconuts there, although we didn't partake. The prices were very reasonable - all meals were less than 100 pesos (except the fish - I think it was 120)This restaurant is a little hidden by all the tour buses that park in front of the shops at this end of the parking lot - so was not busy and quite hidden - but it was perfect for us. Worth the effort to walk 20 more steps past the busier restaurant!!
