Bidrage med feedbackAfter visiting the Coba ruins, my family of 5 wanted to eat at one of the local restaurants. This place caught our eye, and it proved to be one of the best meals we had on our two week vacation. The place is really comfortable and clean, and the server was ultra friendly. He was happy to teach us some Mayan language basics (hello, thank you, etc.), which we used for the rest of our trip.During our two week vacation, my 13 year old son was on a quest to find the best horchata in the Yucatan. He rated this place as having the best, as was the Sopa De Lima (Mayan lime soup) that he sampled at over a dozen restaurants.Great service and excellent Mayan dishes. I'm puzzled at the review saying the food here is "the blandest". The steak tacos my son ordered was loaded with meat, and were ultra tasty.Highly recommended. A nice alternative to the tourist pact spots at the Coba ruins.
They were grilling their special chicken out front. Was great. Wife had the roasted pork. Seasoning on both was perfect. Everything is super clean and the service is typically "relaxed on Mexican time".
We tried the tacos (all meats), quesadillas (all meats), and the guacamole. The meats (especially the chicken) were extremely tender and delicious and each had their own hint of unique local spices. Paired with a cold XX, it was the perfect thing after exploring Coba. The staff was super friendly (as always in Mexico) and service was great! No complaints!IF YOU SEE THIS PLACE, STOP AND EAT THERE!
First restaurant on your right as you arrive in the town of Coba before the ruins. Some of the finest ceviche we have ever had & very inexpensive. Very friendly owners.
We decided to stop here for lunch and regretted it. Ordered two types of tacos, which were really bland. Actually the tacos were mostly filled with rice and just a tiny bit of meat on top. The chef and the owner should be ashamed. This is definitely not Mexican food.
