Pawley's Raw - Coastal South Carolina

I recently dined at this restaurant for the first time and it certainly won't be my last! I ordered the flounder Po Boy with fries and slaw and it was absolutely delicious - a five-star dish in my book! The wait staff was friendly and provided excellent service. On a separate occasion, we tried the oyster platter and it was truly outstanding, leaving us in awe.

The food was okay, but it seemed like there was a lack of leadership at the restaurant. A medical emergency occurred at the table next to us, and although we called 911 and got help, none of the restaurant staff acknowledged the situation except to ask who would pay the bill for that table (which we ended up splitting with another group of strangers). It was disappointing that no one from the restaurant took charge or expressed gratitude. As this was our second time dining here, we're unsure if we'll return for seafood next year. Our young waitress was not to blame, but the inaction of the hostesses and lack of a manager was concerning.

I was attracted to this restaurant because of its extremely kid-friendly atmosphere, complete with a large wooden play structure surrounded by a fence. The colorful string lights added to the charming exterior design, which I loved.

Amazing food. Recommend the Shrimp and Grits, and Blackened Grouper Tacos. Oyster shooter was great. The hostess and wait staff are awesome. I hope to get back before my vacation ends. If you are at least within an hour drive, definitely makePawley's Raw Bar one of your dining experiences.

My first time here and will not be my last! I ordered the flounder po boy with pommes and Slav and give him five stars! the waiting staff was friendly and excellent. recently we have eaten here and the oyster plate make them omg good!
