Taqueria Sarap - Clifton

I’ve been dining with this family for over a year, and I recently tried their hotdogs. Out of the few I ordered, two were really hard yet soggy and cold. It was disappointing. However, their classic dishes are still fantastic, and the Caramelo is spot on!

The restaurant has gone through numerous owners, and as a result, the taste and quality of the food tend to vary, making it inconsistent. However, the patio is pleasant, provided there aren't too many flies around.

They continue to serve Filipino cuisine, making it a great option if you're looking to try something new. If you're a fan of noodles, don’t miss out on the bihon—thin stir-fried noodles with meat and a mix of vegetables like carrots, cabbage, and onions. Each family has its own unique recipe, so no two bihon dishes are exactly alike, but they’re usually always delicious! If you're short on time, I highly recommend ordering online to avoid waiting. You can pick up your order inside, at the drive-through, and I’ve even seen an employee deliver curbside, so just call and ask if that’s an option. I'm glad to see they’re still thriving during this pandemic and continuing to offer tasty, quality food!

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The staff is wonderful, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Plus, it's especially accommodating for truckers. I can't wait to stop by again the next time I'm in town!

During COVID-19, Taqueria sarap is offering patrons a chance to order online to place their order and provides a time when it can be picked up. They have changed hours based on these changes, so they are open M-F. On Mondays and Tuesdays, they offer Sonoran hot dogs, which is a new item to their menu. In mornings, they sell breakfast burritos, beef/pork/bacon with potatoes and eggs. Wednesday through Friday, they sell their main menu of tacos, Filipino food and have added some desserts since the last time I was here. The nice thing is that they implemented a drive-thru, just past the outdoor bbq pit on the right side of the building. It's easy to place an order, whether online or via drive-thru. Online orders can also be customized, so you can either choose all toppings or specific ones, and can add special instructions if you have particular restrictions or requests. Definitely can't miss this place when you drive through Clifton and continue to support local!
