Colossal Cupcakes - Cleveland

I got a chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting (for $6.50). I would be fine with the price, but...it 's quite possibly the driest cupcake I 've ever had (and definitely smaller than they used to be). Also, the cream cheese frosting was grainy and sugary with only a hint of cream cheese cheese very disappointing. I think they 've gotten very cheap with their ingredients. 2 stars for the decor.

My husband and I visited this restaurant on our trip to the city and shared the animal cookie cupcake. These cupcakes are truly enormous and incredibly delicious! I have no idea how they managed to capture the perfect flavor of the cookies in the cake, but it was amazing. I am now lamenting the fact that I don't live nearby to enjoy these regularly.

My boss visited the Colossal bakery on East 9th street on Friday at 3pm and purchased around 12 cupcakes for a department celebration. We were excited when we saw the cupcakes as they looked delicious, but unfortunately they did not taste as good as they looked. The cupcakes tasted like a dry Jiffy mix, and the icing on top was stiff and had an artificial color that seemed to be pulling away like plastic. My coworkers agreed that they had a stale taste to them.

Next time, I will opt for cupcakes from a store. The ones at this restaurant were expensive, dry, and I did not enjoy the flavors. I was extremely disappointed. The interior is charming, but I hope they improve their quality.

Disappointed, the 2 stars only for the decoration and the color of the store, when I saw it from the outside I expected much more. the cupcake for 6.50, I have bought better ones and for much less in other places. This was dry and did not seem fresh. Fortunately it was only one.
