I mean, what is not to love here. Great service and amazing ice cream
My wife has been telling me about this place for years. But since we rarely get to the area, I never remember it. We planned a day trip to see the Georgia Guidestones and note that '55 Exchange was just a short distance from our route. We arrived just before 1700, (5 o'clock for you not military types), and the line was out of the door. My wife told me the line was normal. '55 Exchange has limited days and hours of operation, so it is best to check that they are opened. Ice flavors are limited, but are turned. The whole ice cream comes with Clemson's own dairy cows like the Clemson Bleu cheese. Besides the standard flavors, Clemson's own flavors are a clamp. Tammy had a hot fudge sunshade, Calvin had an orange tiger cream milkshake, and I had a waffle cone with 2 blades of her gold tiger. The waffle cones are made there in the store. Calvin said it was the best shake he ever had. My cone was the best I ever had. The young ladies who worked on this day had a very good job to move the line and were very nice. A nice bonus is the prices. Prices are very reasonable and lower than many ice cream shops. If you're in the area and have a desire to go for ice, give them a try.
I'm trying to go here when I'm in Clemson. The line was long, but it moved pretty well. Always happy to help the students. Ice is good too. They also have blue cheese.
OMG, the lemon custard. Probably my fave icee cream within a 200 mile radius. It's That Good.
