Bidrage med feedbackWe ate here Sunday lunchtime, its a selection of set menus but the service was excellent and the food also. The Auberge is on a farm which rears deer and Boar so the meat is of known provenance, The venison steak was delicious and the meal excellent value. If you are staying near then a visit to this Aiberge will not disappoint and afterwards you can ask to walk round some of the farmland and see the deer and boar as well as some donkeys and a couple of Llama. Very pleasant
We visited the Auberge des Cerfs de Kerfulus with a large group 60+ of pensioners Le dîner annuel des anciens peuples from our commune. Our visit coincided with another bus load of tourists we cannot all get into that restaurant could we... YES with ease. Normally a small party would eat in the restaurant opposite the large hall... big or small they can cater. For two groups of people that large one would expect the food or the service to suffer NOT at all. The Cold plats were cold, and the Hot plats were hot, and the service obviously suffered a little with two large groups arriving at the same time was still very quick and efficient. The cold plate was based on locally produced pâté et saucisson sec, a small baked potatoe with a dressing, and of course this was served with the obligatory salad and tomatoe. The hot plate was a delicious caserole of venison slices (their own deer! , with a potatoe quiche sensible sized protions. The dessert was warn Tarte au Pomme, with a small baked apple, slice of orange and Kiwi. The meal was rounded of by a small cup of good coffee. During the meal we were served with a Rose and Red wine not expensive but good. Several of our group had visited the resaurant before and said that the meal was typical for midday. The resaurant is open on some mid days and week ends it is popular and you are strongly advised to reserve a table with your hosts Christine et Hervé Alain. In the winter, expect the opening hours to be reduced. After your meal you are invited to walk around the animal enclosures, sheep, goats, deer, sanglier, pigs, lamas (they can spit! pleasant way to walk your lunch down
