Main Street Grill - Clearlake

I placed a takeout order and tried calling multiple times, but no one answered. When I went to the restaurant to place my order, I was told there would be a 50-minute wait. After ordering, I had to wait another 10 minutes just to pay, only to wait even longer for my food. The busgirls were fantastic, but the waitress acted as if I was a nuisance. Overall, I suggest just making your own fries at home.

The food at this restaurant is mostly good, but I've often received fried potatoes that seem to be old, sometimes even from the previous day. I typically don't like to complain about food at restaurants, as you never know how that will be received. I've also noticed they tend to close early this year for cleaning. It makes me wonder how dirty things must be! The service is decent; the staff does their best. We're willing to wait a bit for quality food, but the stale potatoes in my burrito and the lack of condiments are making it difficult for me to give a higher rating. I've seen that the owner is active in responding to comments, but it seems they only reply to positive feedback, almost like they’re using an alternate account. I wish the owner would address my concerns. I've lived here for 20 years, and I really miss the old Main Street Bar and Grill.

I've been dining here for a long time, but I believe my recent visit will be my last. The quality of the food has greatly declined. I ordered a hamburger, and it was like eating a sponge—definitely not the quality they used to offer. The first time I experienced this, I thought it might just be an off day, but it has happened twice now. The French fries were few in number and almost inedible. Additionally, the service was slow and lacking. It's disappointing to see this place struggle so much.

This is a local eatery that was open for an early morning breakfast. Our server was a very sweet lady who did a great job and was quick with the service. My friend said his **** mary was good. My country fried steak was good as well. I wouldn't say the food was exceptional quality but it hit the spot for us. We sat on the front patio because it was a nice morning to be outside, however, the traffic noise did get a bit loud.

Great food, friendly service and very quick food! We ordered a cuban chicken sandwich and a Louisiana burger and both were delicious, the fries were crunchy and hot and the chicken was well seasoned. We'll be back the next time we're in the area. It's across from the lake which is a nice additional touch
