Clear Spring Country Diner

The cakes are not genuinely homemade; they come from a box mix, enhanced with extra ingredients, but they still don't achieve the true homemade taste. I’ve been baking since 1910 with my mother, aunts, and grandmothers, so I can definitely tell the difference. The price of $3.29 for a layer cake is quite steep for the portion size. I’m not familiar with the dinner menu, but that pricing seems reasonable. However, the desserts and à la carte items are overpriced given the quality.

The food was excellent, and the waitress was very attentive. The owner was quite pleasant as well. The atmosphere was clean and inviting. My husband was also pleased with his meal and is looking forward to trying the pancakes in October.
