La Amistad Cafe (shorty's) - Clarksburg

I am giving 3 stars for the service, which is great! However, the food quality has declined. I have been a customer at Shorty's since the 80s and was looking forward to their burritos, rice, and beans today. The burrito was different than before, with a strong taste of red chile and being on the salty side. The beans were good, but the rice was undercooked and not as flavorful as it used to be. I recommend that Shorty's keep to their original recipe if they want to keep their loyal customers. It's sad, but I hope they can improve and return to their previous quality.

The menu may be a bit limited, but the food is delicious and affordable. The waitress is incredibly friendly and enjoyable to chat with.

I have wanted to try this restaurant in a remote location for years. The food was fantastic, the staff and other customers were friendly. A hidden gem!

Absolutely perfect. the chips were whole tortillas, as mentioned another rating, but they were fresh and extra delicious. the salsa should die. a very quiet, very friendly place with delicious home cooked authentic food. the journey here was beautiful.

One waitress handled a crowd of q 10-15 separate check no problem!
